Kappa Delta Sorority, the sponsor of National Women’s Friendship Day, has compiled a list of ideas for telling our friends how much they mean to us today! I‘ve listed the best of them and added a few ideas of my own:

Kappa Delta Sorority created a day for us: National Women’s Friendship Day, celebrated on the third Sunday in September each year since 1999. The day is intended to provide an opportunity for women to recognize those friends who play important roles in their lives.

This year, NBC news correspondent Sara James and filmmaker Ginger Mauney have been named honorary co-chairs of the Day. The two women recently released a book called, The Best of Friends: Two Women, Two Continents and One Enduring Friendship (HarperCollins, 2007). Thirty-two states have Governor’s proclamations endorsing the day, and a number of major corporations have signed on as supporters as well...
