Kappa Delta Sorority, the sponsor of National Women’s Friendship Day, has compiled a list of ideas for telling our friends how much they mean to us today! I‘ve listed the best of them and added a few ideas of my own:

This entry is simply a sincere Thank You to the more than 1200 women who bared their souls and shared their stories about friendship by completing the Fractured Friendship Survey. Your stories have been more insightful, compelling, and inspiring than I ever could have imagined.

If you haven't yet responded to the survey, there still is time to do so. Just click here. As I read your responses carefully over the coming weeks, I will look for common themes that synthesize your collective wisdom. Thanks again to all my old friends and new ones!

Best,

Irene

Survey Update: Responses Top 600!

Survey_3697067_5272007.gif

Your response has been nothing short of remarkable. Over the last six weeks, more than 600 women have shared their stories and responded to the Fractured Friendships Survey.

The survey is designed to collect information about the nature and impact of fractured friendships. If you still haven't taken it, click here to contribute your experience. And please share the link with other women you know---as my goal is to reach at least 1000 women from all walks of life.

The survey shouldn't take more than 10 minutes of your/their time. Each additional response will definitely enrich my understanding and, hopefully, help other women think about and assess their friendships.

Many thanks to those who have already responded!

On the tube: When good friends go bad

My niece, Amy, emailed me on her lunch hour earlier this afternoon to tell me that she had caught Tyra’s Bank’s TV show that focused on the topic, When Good Friends Go Bad. Thanks, Amy!

If you, like me, missed the show, you may want to take a peek at the recap on Tyra's website tomorrow.

By 5PM EST, there were already more than 50 posts on her blog from viewers who resonated to the topic and expressed their personal hurt about a fractured friendship of their own. There's still time to tell your own story of failed female friendships by filling out the Fractured Friendship Survey. You are also welcome to post your stories here...

Don’t monkey around: Take my survey

monkey_top2.gif

Using a tool called Survey Monkey, I’ve created a brief questionnaire to solicit ideas and thoughts about women's experiences with female friendships to help shape my book.

The survey shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes of your time and it may help you learn something about yourself and your friendships. Fill out the survey on Fractured Friendships.

When you’re done, please cut and paste the URL so you can share it with your friends, sisters, mothers, daughters, neighbors, and colleagues.
